...
Currently only has the linker flag --gc-sections defined which tells
the linker to omit dead code. Depending on the application this leads
to significant reduction of code size.

mulle: Update OpenOCD conf to work with 0.9.0
...
OpenOCD 0.9.0 added a definition of a single flash bank as
"$_CHIPNAME.flash" (the chip has two flash banks), the new flash bank
definitions are enclosed in catch statements to avoid startup errors.
The original configuration when combined with openocd 0.9.0 caused an
error during flash probing (which happens during GDB connect), because
of three defined flash banks, which made openocd drop the GDB
connection.

Linker warnings usually means something does not get placed where it is
supposed to and the most likely result is a broken binary.
Linker warnings should be treated as serious problems with the program
and should be solved before the program is tested on actual hardware.

Improve naming of thread stacksize/priority constants

As discussed in #2725 , this commit renames a number of stacksize constants to
better convey their intended usage. In addition, constants for thread priority
are given a `THREAD_` prefix. Changes are:
* KERNEL_CONF_STACKSIZE_PRINTF renamed to THREAD_EXTRA_STACKSIZE_PRINTF
* KERNEL_CONF_STACKSIZE_DEFAULT renamed to THREAD_STACKSIZE_DEFAULT
* KERNEL_CONF_STACKSIZE_IDLE renamed to THREAD_STACKSIZE_IDLE
* KERNEL_CONF_STACKSIZE_MAIN renamed to THREAD_STACKSIZE_MAIN
* Move thread stacksizes from kernel.h to thread.h, since the prefix changed
* PRIORITY_MIN renamed to THREAD_PRIORITY_MIN
* PRIORITY_IDLE renamed to THREAD_PRIORITY_IDLE
* PRIORITY_MAIN renamed to THREAD_PRIORITY_MAIN

boards/nucleo-l1: use upstream openocd configuration

Configuration for the ST Nucleo L152RE board was merged into
OpenOCD upstream. This commit changes scripts for flashing,
debugging and reseting to use this and removes RIOT's configuration
file.

In current updates OpenOCD split up stm32l.cfg into stm32l1.cfg and
stm32l0.cfg. This provides a check in openocd.cfg for this file so
openocd doesn't fail.

msba2: Use --gc-sections when linking.
...
- Add `-Wl,--gc-sections` to LDFLAGS
- Add `-fdata-sections` and `-ffunction-sections` to CFLAGS
- Update lpc2387 linker script to keep the isr vector and init
sections when garbage collecting.
- Keep .ctors and .dtors sections (similar to what binutils default
linker script does when building for Linux targets)
