The length field in an MQTT packet carries the _total_ length of the
packet. If it is below 256 (i.e. fits in one byte) only one byte is
used for the length field. If it is larger than that 3 bytes are used,
with the first byte having the value `0x01` and the remaining bytes
representing the length in as a 2 byte unsigned integer in network byte
order. Resulting from that it can be assessed that the check in
`emcutes`'s `set_len()` function is wrong as it needs to be checked if
`len` is lesser or equal to `0xff - 1`. `len <= (0xff - 1)` can be
simplified to `len < 0xff`. For some larger packages this safes 2 bytes
of wasted packet space.
`len` is used with the `memcpy()` to copy the payload to `tbuf`. With a
payload provided that is just long enough to fill `tbuf`, `len += 6`
leads to the `memcpy()` overriding data after `tbuf` (e.g. the
`mutex` that is unlocked right after) and thus resulting in potential
segmentation faults.
Additionally `+ 6` can only be applied if the total packet length is
below 256 (see spec), so `len + pos` is what needs to be provided to the
corresponding send functions instead (`pos` adapts to the header length
of the PUBLISH message).
A new blue pill variant with only 32 KiB of flash (secretly coming with
64 KiB flash) instead of the use 64 KiB flash (secretly coming with 128 KiB)
is not compatible with `make flash`. This commit changes the OpenOCD config
so that both variants can be flashed.
- remove old header files
- fix new DMA header file macro definitions
- remove old cpu type groups (STM32L1XX_MD, STM32L1XX_MDP,
STM32L1XX_HD, STM32L1XX_XL)
- The __NOP() that was added in #8518 is now remooved.
- When DBG_STANDBY, DBG_STOP or DBG_SLEEP are set in DBG_CR a hardfault
occurs on wakeup from sleep. This was first diagnosed in #8518. When
enabled, a hardfault occured when returning from a branch to irq_restore()
we avoid the call by inlining the function call. See #11830 for more
details.
-include will throw no error if sam0_common/Makefile.features does not exist.
This may not have been intentional as none of the other sam0 implementations
do this.
Replace it with a normal include.
Add an option to only compile applications that have available test.
The target usage is when running hardware tests to save time by only
compiling what will be tested.
Although it isn't explicitly specified in API, gpio_read should return the last written output value for output ports. Since the handling of inputs and outputs is strictly separated by several registers in ESP32, gpio_read returned always the initial value of the input register. Therefore, a case distinction had to make. While for input ports the real value has to be read from the input register, the last written value for the output port has to be read from the output register.
While testing the Arduino example for ESP32 boards, the problem of gpio_read for output ports was figured out. During these tests, also the wrong comment has been fixed.
