c0bc0c41b1 net/goap: State and check that listeners are added individually
Add a an assertion on the added listener not having a trailing chain
instead of silently overwriting it, point out the precondition in the
documentation, and guide users who want to add more than one listener
towards a more efficient way.

462f8861f4 gcoap: Suppress retransmissions when ACK was received
This introduces an additional state to the COAP_MEMO_* series to avoid
enlarging the memo struct needlessly. While they are documented
publicly, practically only the COAP_MEMO_TIMEOUT and COAP_MEMO_RESPONSE
are used in communication with the application, as a
gcoap_request_memo_t is only handed out in that state.

ff00d66d69 gcoap: Process CON responses
This generalizes the existing code for answering CoAP pings into general
message-layer responses. Such responses are now also sent as a reaction
to CON responses, which can otherwise follow the same code path as
existing other responses.

As a side effect, issues that would crop up when responding to odd empty
requests that have token length set are resolved.

7ed50c3d18 gnrc_rpl: Lock against race against initializer thread
When gnrc_rpl_init was called from a thread with higher priority than
the RPL thread, the initializer's call to gnrc_netreg_register would be
executed before the event loop even had a chance to set up its message
queue.

The added short-lived lock makes it work from threads of any priority.

riotboot/flashwrite: add flashpage_raw compatibility
This adds optional usage of periph_flashpage_raw for the
riotboot/flashwrite module. This removes the need to buffer a full
flashpage page, instead it must buffer two times the
FLASHPAGE_RAW_BLOCKSIZE. One is used to buffer the current write block,
the other buffers the first chunk (offset zero, page zero). This first
chunk is written when finalizing the flash operation.

Care must be taken that, when using the skiplength, the number of bytes
skipped is always a multiple of the FLASHPAGE_RAW_BLOCKSIZE.

6fa15ff3f6 sys/luid: improve luid_base() algorithm
CPU IDs may contain very little entropy. Often only a single byte
may change between two CPUs.

To mitigate this use a somewhat 'proper' hash algorithm (I chose DJB2
hash simply because it's small) and 'extend' it to the required output
size.

For 50 STM32 CPU IDs from the grenoble site, this produces a much more
random LUID output.

gnrc_pkt: introduce packet list operations
Up until now `utlist.h` is used to manipulate the packet list within a
GNRC pkt snip. Since I always wanted to see if there would be an
advantage when using `core`'s `list.h`, I provide this
`gnrc_pktsnip_t`-specific API to manipulate the packet list. It has the
additional advantage of type safety and that future steps could
encapsulate those operations.

af03cd8f4f gnrc_netif: add missing gnrc_netif_release() to early return
The gnrc_netif_ipv6_addr_add_internal() function unconditionally
acquires the global netif rmutex lock but doesn't release this lock on
this specific path (i.e. if gnrc_netif_ipv6_group_join_internal failed).
This can cause a deadlock as no other thread will afterwards be capable
of acquiring the netif lock.

6350d22bc9 net/gcoap: Register additional resources head-first
This simplifies (written and compiled) code by doing a head rather than
a tail insertion of the new listener into gcoap's list.

As handling of listeners without a link_encoder is now fixed,
gcoap_get_resource_list can handles this now without having to manually
skip over the .well-known/core handler (which is not the first entry any
more now).

Incidentally, this allows the user to install a custom handler for
.well-known/core, as the default handler is now evaluated last.

e3db58f013 net/gcoap: Avoid endless loop on error
The NULL case can not regularly be reached (because regularly
gcoap_register_listener sets thel link_encoder to a default one), but if
it is (eg. because an application unsets its link_encoder to hide a
resource set at runtime), the existing `continue` is a good idea (skip
over this entry) but erroneously created an endless loop by skipping the
advancement step.

Non-routing 6LNs do not have to join the solicited nodes address, so
probing for a neighbor using that address may be in vain and only
spamming the LLN with unnecessary messages. RFC 6775 basically assumes
this in section 5.2:

f163f1580b sys/net/uhcp: use LOG_ functions
Using `gnrc_border_router` with `uhcp` is quite noisy.
uhcpc will regularly refresh the prefix and print a bunch of status messages.

Allow the user to tone it down by setting a higher `LOG_LEVEL`.
For this, convert calls to `printf()` and `puts()` to `LOG_xxx()`.

This requires a dummy header for `uhcpd`.

gnrc_ipv6_nib: set NCE stale on incoming ARO
In accordance with RFC 6775, section 5.2 an NCE should be set STALE
when an ARO renews the address registration for the address:

> The routers SHOULD NOT garbage-collect Registered NCEs (see
> Section 3.4), since they need to retain them until the Registration
> Lifetime expires. Similarly, if NUD on the router determines that
> the host is UNREACHABLE (based on the logic in [RFC4861]), the NCE
> SHOULD NOT be deleted but rather retained until the Registration
> Lifetime expires. A renewed ARO should mark the cache entry as
> STALE. Thus, for 6LoWPAN routers, the Neighbor Cache doesn't behave
> like a cache. Instead, it behaves as a registry of all the host

sys/net/gnrc/netif: Fix compilation on waspmote-pro
xtimer.h must not be included, when the xtimer module is not use. Otherwise
compilation on the waspmote-pro with https://github.com/RIOT-OS/RIOT/pull/14799
will not longer work. gnrc_netif_pktq includes xtimer.h and uses xtimer, but
gnrc_netif includes gnrc_netif_pktq.h regardless of whether gnrc_netif_pktq
is used. This makes sure that gnrc_netif_pktq.h is only included when actually
used.

70d480c301 sys/usb/usbus/cdc_ecm_netdev: fix _recv() return values
Previously, the function would always return the max_len parameter.
This poses two issues:

1. the API requires to return the actual packet size
2. the API requires that if the packet is larger than max_len, the
packet is flushed and -ENOBUFS is returned
3. this basically bypasses the packet flushing, consequtive _recv()
would return the last packet again

This commit fixes those issues.

On receiving a DIO message, RPL sets the lifetime for the default
route and the parent timeout event to the value. This leads to short

handles the parent timeout event to probe its parent.

This commit fixes this by adding time the node needs for probing
to the default route lifetime.

sys/ps: Improve robustness against string table errors.
The mapping from thread state codes to a human readable string in the
PS modules has to be maintained manually. There is a very real possibility
for it to get out of sync with the actual defined states, which would cause
a crash when a lookup with an out of bounds index is performed. Also, because
of the way the array is defined, there could be gaps (which will be filled by
nulls).

This patch replaces the array looukup by a function that checks bounds and
also triggers an assertion so that the issue can be caught during development.

sys/pm: Correctly access pm_blocker
Replace `volatile` access to pm_blocker by guarding the accesses with
`irq_disable()` ... `irq_restore()`.

`volatile` does only guarantee that no compiler optimizations are performed on
a variable access, but does not provide atomic access. E.g. on systems with
a memory bus of less than 32 bit, the access to pm_blocker cannot be done
with a single CPU instruction. Thus, resorting to disabling IRQs is the easiest
and most portable way to actually achieve atomic access.

04630d20ba sys/shell: Add optional hooks for shell commands
Introduce optional user shell_post_readline_hook, shell_pre_command_hook, shell_post_command_hook.
Enable with USEMODULE=shell_hooks.
Calls user implemented *_hook functions if defined.
If implementation does not exist, nothing happens.

The intent is to make profiling of the shell command timings easier.

Test provided in tests/shell with USEMODULE=shell_hooks.

The private parts need USB definitions (and are thus preferably used

a6ca535955 sys/shell: native: stop RIOT when the shell reads EOF
Currently when the shell receives EOF on `native`, sending EOF
(ctrl + D) closes the stdin file descriptor, leading to all
consecutive reads to also return EOF.

The result is that `shell_run_forever()` will re-start the shell
forever in a loop, filling up the terminal with

    > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > …

until the user hits ctrl + C.

This is annoying.

Instead, cleanly shutdown RIOT when receiving EOF on native, which
should match the expected behaviour of most users.

This

* renames DEFAULT_xID to USB_xID_TESTING as it is not really a default
(if anyting, the 7D00 is, and it's not that)
* moves the check into Makefile
* generalizes the check to all test PID/VID pairs
  * in doing so, fixes the "or" (which would have ruled out warning-free
use of an allocated pid.codes number), and compares to the actual
testing PID rather than the RIOT-peripheral PID
* removes all occurrences of duplicated checks in examples or tests,
leaving definitions only where they are needed
* moves the Kconfig defaults of the usbus_minimal example into the main
Kconfig, as these are good defaults for all cases when USB is enabled
  manually

2d1160426d sys/net/dhcpv6: discard stale replies
The DHCPv6 server might send reponses multiple times.
The DHCPv6 client will only handle the first response, if additional
responses are comming in they are left in the RX queue.

That results in the client always reading the response of a previous
transaction on any subsequent transactions.
In this case the client will try again, creating a new transaction - that
will again only read the previous response.

To fix this, discard previous responses by flushing the RX queue before
sending a new message to the DHCPv6 server.
